suburban "Farm" pictures

Right now I'm living in a house built in 1972 in a beautiful subdivision located in in the NW corner of Dayton, Ohio. There are walking trails in the woods, a neighborhood swimming pool, large green areas and lots of sidewalks to get exercise on. This land was once owned by several farmers many generations back. It's a nice neighborhood that we've raised our children in for the last six years. But, truth is, I'm ready for a change. Ready for sunshine and some land that I can spread out in. While my husband is probably a bit nervous about the change, I am not. I want to live the life that I'm meant to live and that means changing the lifestyle I have now. In recent years I've changed many things. I recycle everything I can, I compost, I grow a garden and I raise chickens. Small changes to some, big changes to me. One day I hope to own a couple of horses and expand my flock to include different breeds and even have a rooster or two. But for now, this is my life, in my suburban surroundings. Here are a few pictures of my home and gardens. Enjoy!
